The 1984-built, 38,313-dwt, 22,361-grt iron ore strengthened bulk carrier New Sovereign is seen in this photograph while she was lying at anchor during August of 1989 possibly in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was built in Japan and has sailed under the following names. Sanko Sovereign (86), New Sovereign (90), New Sophia (94), Midas (97) and when this picture was added to the archives she was still listed as operational as Farland under the flag of Vanuatu for Bridgewater Ltd.
