The self-unloading bulk carrier Jean Parisien is seen in this photograph as she was approaching the entrance of the Welland Canal during the afternoon hours of December 21st, 2001. This was her last upbound voyage through the canal for the 2001 shipping season and she was carrying around 25,000 tonnes of coke from Quebec to Nanticoke.
