Additional details

H.M. GRIFFITH departed from Port Weller piers this morning early at around 01:00 destined for Hamilton. Once she arrived there she discharged a cargo fo coal and returned to the canal in ballast at 13:10 to begin yet another passage upbound. Her crew must get really tired of the canal!!!

FLORENCE McKEIL departed from wharf 18.1, the West Street Wharf at around 19:00 and headed towards the outer harbour at Port Colborne. Before entering Lake Erie she turned and headed for wharf 20, the Governmant elevator, in the outer harbour to assist FEDERAL DORA which was then preparing to depart. By 22:04 Florence McKeil had completed the operation and had passed through lock 8 downbound light. Federal Dora was only minutes behind.
